We can reuse the components that are available to our policies for other areas they're needed (in this case, IMetrics, so I can do HTTP posts to influxdb).

In the case of our sync platforms we may need to add some kind of thread pooling. On vert.x it's a non-issue already and can likely be used unmodified.
