Currently lots of interesting error information is being lost between the server and the client. The client needs to do a better job parsing any error information that comes from the server and presenting it in a sensible way.

It's possible that for 500 errors the server is not sending back an interesting response. This should also be improved.

Ideally any 500 stack trace on the server should be displayed as such in the UI.
