In https://github.com/openshift/kubernetes we have several directories which are:

• openshift-kube-apiserver
• openshift-hack
• else ?

that are entirely enclosed within their boundaries. Theoretically it should be possible to migrate them to entirely separate repositories and vendor their contents during bumps.
