Thank-you so much for the clarification. This for comparison with RabbitMQ. A customer currently using RabbitMQ is considering AMQ on OCP. This is the matrix I was filling out: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/12Lc7WQTU4Z3UaUkJJkSB1gSAfM8-IEOT/edit#slide=id.p1
In my research I found our documentation a little vague on Consumer Priority, and that is why I asked. I don't have an identified need for the explicit toggle functionality.
Best regards,
Amritpal

Yes we support Consumer priority in AMQ 7, This was contributed by an upstream community member so probably why we have no downstream docs. I will raise a doc issue to get the downstream docs updated. Since it wasn't written by red Hat I have no idea why he didn't add a way to toggle it off/on, I'm assuming that since it doesnt really make sense to connect a priority consumer to a destination that has it disabled but if this is a customer ask we will happily implement it, feel free to raise Jira.

Hi team,
So I have basically filled in most of the matrix for AMQ. However I am having a problem getting an answer to a simple question. I was wondering if I might ask for your help since this is based in some vagueness in our documentation more than deep implementation details. My question is below. I have gotten no responses on the se-jboss email list where product BU usually participates or on the integration cop chat.
I am trying to understand if we support consumer priority weighting in AMQ 7.x.
According to:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_amq/7.7/html/migrating_to_red_hat_amq_7/resource_limits_and_policies#consumer_policy_configuration_properties
AMQ 6 used the setting 'useConsumerPriority' to toggle this. Apparently AMQ 7 has no equivalent.
Though this artemis documentation does seem to indicate the consumer priority behavior is there:
https://activemq.apache.org/components/artemis/documentation/latest/consumer-priority.html
Does this mean that just the ability to toggle it was removed?
I really hope that you can help me with this last item. BTW the updated matrix in case it can be of use for future competitive analysis is here:
