Neither the release notes nor the installation chapter state the prerequisites required by Interconnect to run successfully. The following 2 libraries are critical for the router to properly use the SASL authentication mechanism:

• python-qpid-proton-0.26.0-3.el7.x86_64
• qpid-proton-c-0.26.0-3.el7.x86_64

Previous versions of qpid-proton-c did not have support for SASL enabled and if a customer is using an earlier version, SASL authentication will not work.

Additionally, clarification around the required SASL plugins would also be helpful. For example, are both cyrus-sasl-lib and cyrus-sasl required? What is the minimum version of the cyrus sasl plugin that we recommend/have tested.
