Customer feedback - doc around discovery mode for symetrical clusters is confusing

XMLWordPrintable

This customer case was discussed in the support meeting on 7/18/18. Please see the attached support case for details.

The Broker Guide is unclear in what is currently section 20.3.2:
"Rather than use dynamic discovery to form a cluster, you can configure a static list of connectors that restricts the cluster to a limited set of brokers. Use this static discovery method to form non-symmetrical clusters such as chain clusters or ring clusters."

The second sentence is not technically accurate: one would provide a static list of connectors to create a symmetric cluster especially.
