Some time ago I raised bug ENTMQBR-12 concerning how it was not clear how customers using shared-store master-slave operation on A-MQ 6 – which is almost ubiquitous – would migrate to AMQ 7. This bug was closed without being fully resolved, because there were matters that needed to be documented for the assistance of A-MQ 6 customers. It seems that additional documentation was scheduled, but not actually provided. There is still nothing in the migration guide that covers this scenario, which will affect almost all A-MQ 6 users.

The exception that I reported back in ENTMQBR-12 is still present in the latest GA release of A-MQ 7, but it remains unclear whether there is a bug, or whether additional configuration is needed to support shared-store master-slave operation.
