Concerning s.18.2.1 of the documtation, concerning the management API:

      https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_jboss_amq/7.0/html/using_amq_broker/management#core_broker_management

      This statement appears:

"In case of a broker crash, when the broker restarts, some transactions may require manual intervention. Use the the following methods to help resolve issues you encounter."

It goes on to list API calls related to querying and managing transaction state.

There are two problems with this section.

      1. So far as I know, it only applies to XA transactions.
      2. It gives the impression that manual intervention will be required on the broker. In an XA set-up, any manual intervention will be carried out on the transaction manager, or whatever infrastructure hosts it. Moreover, while there are well-defined (and, we hope, vanishingly unlikely) circumstances in which such manual intervention might be required, a broker crash should never be one of them.
