In order to build mlflow from a midstream fork, the RHDS team has to create and maintain midstream tags in https://github.com/red-hat-data-services/mlflow repository. Our midstream tagging syntax and policy is explained in the document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1N4PeNNgVaXDtao1Kst6NtvYxVfGOPdxfUjspSVGKF4s/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.opo42mv7idyi 

Please be aware that midstream and upstream releases are mutually exclusive. Once a package is configured for midstream releases, we no longer build upstream releases. You will have to create a new midstream release + tag for every version.
