Requested Package Name and Version: faiss-cpu>=1.12.0

      Upstream Repository: https://github.com/faiss-wheels/faiss-wheels

      Brief Explanation for Request:

This package is required by Llama Stack release 0.2.22 (RHAIENG-1124). The initial build attempt failed during the release pipeline: https://gitlab.com/redhat/rhel-ai/llama-stack/pipeline/-/jobs/11381379442

      Related discussion thread: https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C079FE5H94J/p1758090530508849?thread_ts=1757003607.497159&cid=C079FE5H94J

Note: Llama Stack team reverted FAISS provider changes (RHAIENG-1137) to proceed with 0.2.22 release before code freeze, as builder issues needed resolution.

      QE User Acceptance Tests:

      Objectives:

      • Verify faiss-cpu package builds successfully in AIPCC builder system
      • Confirm package works correctly with Llama Stack 0.2.22
      • Validate x86_64-v3 ISA support and compatibility on systems without AVX512
      • Test GOMP and parallelized OpenBLAS linkage

      Package License:

faiss-cpu is licensed under MIT License, which is on the Fedora Project’s Allowed Licenses list: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/legal/allowed-licenses/
