      Feature Overview:

We want the vllm team to be able to build using our wheels in their midstream so they can run their more extensive test jobs before we build product releases.

      Product(s) associated:

      RHAIIS
      **

      Goals:
Provide high-level goal statement with user context and expected user outcome(s) for this Feature

      • We will have early warning of dependency updates, because builds will not work if they are limited to packages we can make available to the vllm team.
      • We will have more time for performance testing of builds.
      • We will eventually be able to reduce the time it takes us to deliver vllm builds downstream.

      Requirements:

      • We need to set up a package index that includes the dependencies of vllm, so they can pull those into their existing midstream wheel and image builds without having to use our builder image to build vllm.

      Done - Acceptance Criteria:

      1. A vllm test job defined in the midstream runs using dependencies we build and vllm built from source.

Use Cases - i.e. User Experience & Workflow:
Include use case diagrams, main success scenarios, alternative flow scenarios.

      Out of Scope:
High-level list of items or personas that are out of scope.

      1. We do not need to work on having the vllm team update the AIPCC wheel builder image to build vllm from source.
      2. AIPCC does not need to own the test job.

      Documentation Considerations :
Provide information that needs to be considered and planned so that documentation will meet customer needs. If the feature extends existing functionality, provide a link to its current documentation.
