October 2, 2025 ( GREEN ): on track, granting permissions to both AIPCC-internal and external stakeholders is an ongoing process. We recently started using Claude Code with a custom slash command to handle reviews, and we’re planning to make permission granting self-service by deploying an AI agent.

The goal of this Initiative is to establish a clear, consistent, and auditable process for managing access to AIPCC-owned GitLab repositories, Quay repositories, Konflux tenants, and related resources.

      Specifically, this Initiative aims to:

      • Track all incoming access requests and their requestors in a centralized Jira workflow to ensure a reliable paper trail for future audits.
      • Enable informed access decisions by clearly documenting the purpose of each request and verifying that the requested level of access is justified.
      • Collect all required information upfront (including, where applicable, manager approval) so that access can be granted efficiently and correctly.
      • Standardize and document the access-granting process, reducing reliance on ad-hoc Slack or direct requests.
      • Lay the groundwork for a future self-service model, where access requests are initiated through a well-defined system rather than manual intervention.

Over time, this Initiative will help reduce administrative overhead, improve security posture, and ensure timely access for users who legitimately need it, while maintaining compliance with organizational security and audit requirements.

This Initiative explicitly replaces informal, ad-hoc access requests made through chat or email.
