      We've set up some repos (which had to be done anyway for RHEL9.6), Percy has done some amazing work in the app repo to build base 9.6 images, and I've locally tested them.

      Management has requested that we do a preview of RHEL9.6 image support for AMD and/or
      Nvidia by June 30 2025. This work does not have to be in mainline and can be on a private
      branch.

      If we support AMD, we should also incorporate the amdgpu driver work for the AMD GPU kernel team
      described here: https://issues.redhat.com/browse/AIPCC-1864
