As part of the wheel build pipeline we should test installing the collection that has been produced before we publish a release.

A first version of this test could just pip install them with the constraints file to ensure that we have built everything and that the selected versions are compatible.

A later iteration could extend the test to use the application base images and then verify that all of the system dependencies are also present, but doing that will be problematic for any wheels that have dependencies that are not present in the base image.
