It would be nice to have a sort of configuration migration tool, which would be helpful when transitioning between different workbench versions. The main motivation behind this is that repository can contain files, which are no longer usable after upgrade (e.g. configuration files contain deprecated elements, etc.). Manual migration using scripts might be possible, but is not very user-friendly.

The migration should ideally be performed when the project is opened for the first time after upgrade. It would basically run all registered migration tasks (unit of execution that defines how the file format needs to be changed) and modify project files accordingly.
