POST/PUT request timeout interval ignored on iOS 5.x

      Default behaviour in iOS 5 during PUT/POST requests is to ignore the timeout interval set by [NSURLRequest setTimeoutInterval]. (The issue is not present in iOS 6). More here [1]

      Care should be taken, so that the timeout configuration property on the Pipe, would work correctly for our iOS 5 users too.
