INFO REQUEST:

rokejungrh , you had created alerts that fired after a period of similar metric results (to show problems in Hypershift addon.  Is the opposite alert a possibility as well? An SC exists and is NOT sending a metric for a period of time, then we create an alert?

If the answer is yes, we'll create a story to to create a few of these alerts for the different components, or if we can agree on one component we should check.

GOAL:

To determine if the SC (ACM) has become unreachable (either through component failure) we would expect other alerts to happen before the time interval is reached, or when the Control Plane becomes disabled, in which case the interval set here would be exceeded and we would get an alert.

ACTIONS:

• Answer to the question, can an alert be created based on NO metric over a given interval
• Create a Story to track what we would like to trigger the alert (which component(s))
