Overview
- OpenShift can be delivered using different means, such as the OpenShift installer or HyperShift, which has a controller to reconcile cluster properties.
- The controllers and operator for HyperShift need to be lifecycle and maintained, and need to function with a particular release version of OpenShift.
- The timing of when software is released to produce conformant OpenShift clusters raises questions about when to release documentation and when to use operators to provision just released versions of OCP.
Goals
Explore what it takes to be able to consume OpenShift produced by all the installer at the day of OCP release.
Definition of Done (DoD)
It is now possible to consume OCP via MCE installers (HCP/Hive/....) at the same day of OCP release.
