We need some more information about each of the new types, ideally comparing them to the types we have been supporting, in order to have the background required for any technical changes. We also need a plan to coordinate the changes in the backend (largely in Search, but possibly also in the policy components) with the changes in the UI which I expect will largely be handled by the console squad.

The result of this task should be a design doc for the arch forum, and then an Epic to organize the future work.
