      Description of problem:

      Due to the Hive bug in this thread https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C012L9Y9C79/p1763651078140529 we need to replace the Hive Update call with the Patch call so it's not dependent on any future Hive upgrade changes needing Golang upgrades which would break the code.
