Pinned digests mean in our Dockerfile.rhtap (the dockerfiles we use for our konflux builds), we can specify the images by tag, but also include the sha256 digest.

Repos to update:

This means we can know in our code exactly what image was used for our golang builders as well as the final container image.  Additionally it means we'll get PRs from mintmaker/renovate to update these container images, which will trigger builds once they're merged.  This means builds will be triggered when the image updates become available rather than it just picking up the latest at the time of the build.
