Value Statement

A cluster admin can use a new feature from https://issues.redhat.com/browse/ACM-1648 to override or upgrade hypershift operator images without having to upgrade MCE hypershift addon on the hosting cluster. This way of hypershift operator upgrade does not upgrade the CRDs. A cluster admin either needs a way to upgrade the CRDs separately or the hypershift operator image override or upgrade should update CRDs automatically.

Acceptance Criteria

• Use hypershift-override-images to override hypershift operator image and ensure the hostedcluster and nodepool CRDs are updated to be compatible with the new operator image.
