CI = Inventory Item aka Server
1. What is the nature and description of the request?
Customer would like the ability to select or enter the name of an inventory CI and see all jobs that have been executed on it over a period of time.
2. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Customer would like this to go back at least 90 days and be able to select the time period for reporting. Currently, they can see all the targets from a given job but have no way to provide the name of an inventory CI and see what jobs were executed against it.
Customer is a regulated company that is frequently audited for changes in their environment. One of the most common requests is to provide a list of jobs with start and end timestamps that have been executed on a given CI so the auditor can compare those changes to their change management system to confirm compliance with policy. While they can pipe the data from Ansible to an external system, the auditors prefer the reports to come from the change tool as it reduces the chance of unauthorized change or loss of data.
How would you like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
