What is the nature and description of the request?
The support matrix for migrations requires 2 steps to migrate from AAP 2.6 RPM on RHEL 9 to AAP 2.6 Containerized on RHEL 10 (first an artifact based migration, then a backup&restore).
Would it be possible to reduce to one single artifact based migration?
Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
This would reduce the migration effort almost by half and avoid one temporary cluster to do the migration. From a Red Hat perspective, it would also facilitate the move of our customers to the latest Red Hat platforms/technologies.
How would you like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
From the look of it, it doesn't matter for the artifact based migration what the underlying RHEL version is, so that it should only be a matter of testing this specific approach going directly from RPM/RHEL 9 to Containerized/RHEL 10.
List any affected known dependencies: Doc, UI etc..
I assume no code change, only tests and docs.
