      • What is the nature and description of the request?

Introduce a directory structure (folders) within the “templates” resource to help organize workflows and templates by category or need, that would make managing templates and workflows much more intuitive.

      • Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

To simplify navigation and lifecycle of templates and workflows easier to manage.

Right now, when folks are picking up Ansible and starting to use AAP/AWX, the sheer number of workflows and templates can be overwhelming. Many of us are used to the familiar directory structure of Linux, where folders like “reports” make it easy to narrow down relevant reporting templates. Having a similar setup in AAP/AWX would mean users don’t have to guess what a template is for or scroll through a long list of playbooks they don’t need at the moment.

Customer understand that they can utilize labeling and that could be used as a way of making templates and workflows easier to digest for new and experienced users. The issue with that is the end user doesn't necessarily know what options are available to them. Would it be possible to have the option of typing or have a drop down for labels and adding a labels column to the "templates" page be an option going forward if a directory structure is not the direction.
