Business Justification:
Our operations teams rely heavily on AAP notification emails to validate the status of automation jobs executed across multiple applications and environments. Currently, the notification system only provides a summary-level status, which does not expose the specific task that failed within a job.
This limitation results in:
- Operational delays, as engineers must log into the AAP portal and manually inspect job logs to identify the failed task.
- Confusion for application owners, who often assume the entire job failed when only a single task may have encountered an error.
- Inefficient troubleshooting, especially during maintenance windows or large-scale patching activities where timely response is critical.
Introducing task-level failure details directly in the AAP notification emails would significantly improve clarity, reduce investigation time, and streamline incident response. This enhancement will improve both operational efficiency and user experience for teams relying on AAP for automation workflows.
