Description
Customer is looking for a documentation how to restore AAP backups on different OCP cluster.
Message from them:
Yes, the customer need a documented or even agreed procedure for mirroring configurations (templates, credentials, local users and so on) from an AAP installation (on OCP 4.12 cluster) to another AAP installation (on a different OCP 4.12 cluster).
What changes between the two AAP installations are:
- the S3 bucket used by AAH
- the routes
Everything else can be mirrored.
AAP installations will use operator managed postgres instances only.
The target AAP installation can be destroyed and reinstalled using the source AAP backup.
The AAH S3 bucket (a GCP provided S3 bucket) can be mirrored from source to target.
For preparing such a procedure we need first of all a supported procedure for modifying the source backup in a way that can be restored on the target OCP cluster with the target routes and S3 bucket references. {code}
