Description :
Our customer would like to combine multiple inventory sources into one inventory, but still have each source route tasks to a specific instance group for execution.
For example, they have three network zones (A, B, and C), each with its own source (Source-A, Source-B, Source-C) and instance group (IG-A, IG-B, IG-C). Due to network routing rules, tasks for each source need to run on the matching instance group.
They’re asking for Automation Mesh to support “smart routing,” so hosts from different sources in a combined inventory can still be routed to the correct instance group automatically. This would simplify inventory management while keeping network access intact.
Business Impact :
Unable to route clients to the appropriate instance group for network communications, resulting in having to open additional firewall flows that are not desirable in our environment.
