1. What is the nature and description of the request?
- While the operating system recognized the new resources instantly, AAP continued to reflect the previous capacity. Only after rebooting the node did AAP update and utilize the newly added resources correctly.
- We are looking for a method to refresh AAP’s internal resource/capacity detection without requiring a reboot, ideally via a command or API call.
2. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
- Enables on-demand scaling of AAP infrastructure in cloud/VM environments.
- Reduces downtime associated with reboots just to reflect capacity changes.
- Enable real-time capacity tuning without service disruption.
3. How would you like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
- Dynamically detect CPU/memory changes on Execution/Control Nodes and recalculate job capacity without requiring a restart or reboot.
- If dynamically detection is not possible, please advise how customers can manually trigger the capacity calculating processes.
