- What is the nature and description of the request?
Different CasC Collections for managing AAP exist on console.redhat.com, categorized as Certified and Validated. However, some collections are tested and compatible only with AAP 2.4, others with 2.5, and some with both (with a caveat).
- Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
The customer needs clear guidance on which CasC Collection is compatible with each version of AAP. Without this information, they may open avoidable support cases. Adding a 2.4 or 2.5 tag or enhancing our documentation to specify compatibility between collections and AAP versions would help prevent confusion.
- How would you like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
One suggestion is to add a tag to the collection, while another is to specify its compatible AAP version in the 'Documentation' tab on Red Hat Console (r.h.c.).
For collections that support both AAP 2.4 and 2.5, such as ansible.controller, the documentation should indicate which version of the Collection to use for each AAP version:
AAP 2.4 → Use version 4.5.X
AAP 2.5 → Use version 4.6.X
(Ensure the collection version matches the Ansible Controller version.)
