      1. What is the nature and description of the request?
The customer requests the ability to select and use Credentials in Notifications, similar to how Credentials are selected for Job Templates. Currently, when creating a Notification Template (e.g., Type Webhook), credentials like Username and Basic Auth Password must be set as static values. This limitation makes it difficult to maintain security, as changes to the credentials require manual updates to the Notification Templates.
      1. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
The customer requires this feature for more flexible and secure management of credentials in Notifications. Their current workaround involves creating a scheduled job to update the Notification Template with new credentials at set intervals (e.g., daily). However, this approach is not sustainable. If the credentials change in between scheduled updates, the notification webhooks fail, leading to gaps in functionality and potential operational impact.
      1. How would you like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
The customer suggests introducing a feature that allows for the selection of Credentials within the Notification Template interface, similar to how credentials are selected for Job Templates. This could be implemented by adding an option to choose from existing credential categories (e.g., Username, API Key) and assign them dynamically to Notifications, ensuring credentials remain current without requiring manual updates.
