What is the nature and description of the request?
With the tmp directory being used for execution and storage of roles, adding the data from an analytics run could hit disk space limits on the Tower hosts. Adding a user configurable option could allow for smaller /tmp directories and further control over the storage on the hosts.
Why does the customer need this?
- improved space management
- Control for environments where the installation uses LVM with restricted placement for the application data
