I'm reopening this RFE (https://issues.redhat.com/browse/AAPRFE-381) - A Managed Service Provider in Finland asked from Microsoft when they will officially support SSH connections with Windows Servers and Microsoft replied to them OpenSSH Server optional feature is supported by MS for Server 2019/2022
We would request the possibility to have support for this feature in Ansible / AAP with Windows Servers 2019/2022. Based on Microsoft response they are officially supporting it which was the reason for closing previous RFE around this topic.
Offer the possibility to manage all common platforms (Linux and Windows) using the same approach. Furthermore, for security reasons, local accounts must be used, which means that SSH keys can avoid the usage of passwords and are, generally, easier to handle. In summary, it's all in terms of ease of use and cost of management.
