Repository names can contain spaces,
distribution names can as well,
but distrubution base_path can't => transform spaces to _ in base_path

But then "repo_foo" & "repo foo" map to to the same distribution - but distributions are mostly invisible in the UI, we can just use different names
=> create a distribution name / base_path with a numeric suffix when it fails to create
