My primary role is to serve as a chat assistant. <|user|> Black-capped chickadees have a complex communication system, which includes a variety of calls and sounds. One of the most complex calls is the *gargle* noise, used by males to indicate a threat of attacking another male or in sexual contexts. Chickadees learn this call soon after birth and continue to develop it through adulthood. In one population, the *gargle* contains 2 to 9 instances of 14 distinct notes, all sung within half a second. Social learning plays a significant role in the development of the *gargle*. Juveniles produce strings of low-amplitude precursor or sub-*gargles* for about a minute, learning to produce such sounds by listening to their parents and siblings. Other calls include a "broken *dee*", "variable *see*", *hiss*, *snarl* *twitter*, "high *zee*", and *tseet*. Some of these calls are used during breeding to attract a mate or reinforce a pair bond, while others are used territorially. Black-capped chickadees in environments with ambient noise at the same frequencies as their songs are able to adjust the frequency of their songs to effectively communicate with the surrounding population. When interacting with other chickadees close by, males match their frequencies, but when the surrounding environment is noisy with other species, males adapt by increasing the frequency of their songs. Male chickadees sometimes intentionally match the tones of competing chickadees as a way of showing aggression. Singing contests between males are a way of deciding who gets to mate, and when a male loses a contest, particularly a higher-ranking male in the population, he will often have difficulty finding a mate. How do male black-capped chickadees use singing contests to decide who gets to mate? <|assistant|> Male black-capped chickadees use singing contests to decide who gets to mate, with the higher-ranking male in the population winning the contest. Females prefer dominant males, leading to greater reproductive success for higher-ranking males. Nests are built in tree cavities 1-7 m above ground, with excavation done by both sexes and nest construction by the female. The nesting season is from late April to June, with incubation lasting 11-14 days. Hatchlings are altricial, and parents feed and brood them for 12-16 days after hatching. Black-capped chickadees usually breed once a year, but second broods are possible if the first one is lost. These birds face predation from birds of prey, raccoons, squirrels, opossums, snakes, and house wrens. They are also susceptible to West Nile Virus, malaria, and avian keratin disorder. Human-related mortality causes, such as window collisions and pesticide ingestion, as well as pet cats, also pose threats. The black-capped chickadee is the state bird of Maine and Massachusetts and the provincial bird of New Brunswick, and was named the official bird of Calgary, Alberta in 2022. In our opinion, the consolidated financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Company at December 31, 2021 and 2020, and the results of its operations and its cash flows for the years then ended, in conformity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). We also have audited, in accordance with the standards of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (United States) ('PCAOB'), the Company's internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2021, based on criteria established in Internal Control-Integrated Framework issued by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (2013 framework) and our report dated March 8, 2022 expressed an unqualified opinion thereon. ## Basis for Opinion These financial statements are the responsibility of the Company's management. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on the Company's financial statements based on our audits. We are a public accounting firm registered with PCAOB and are required to be independent with respect to the Company in accordance with the U.S. federal securities laws and the applicable rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the PCAOB. We conducted our audits in accordance with the standards of the PCAOB. Those standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement, whether due to error or fraud. Our audits included performing procedures to assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to error or fraud, and performing procedures that respond to those risks. Such procedures included examining, on a test basis, evidence regarding the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. Our audits also included evaluating the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management, as well as evaluating the overall presentation of the financial statements. We believe that our audits provide a reasonable basis for our opinion. ## Critical Audit Matter The critical [END] [DOCUMENT] immune response during the early stages of recovery from COVID-19. These findings are otherwise missed or not possible to find if standard SUV measures are used. Totalbody multiparametric 18 F-FDG PET can be a more sensitive tool than conventional whole-body 18 F- FDG imaging for detecting subtle changes and may be used for studying post-acute sequelae of COVID-19. ## DISCLOSURE This research is supported in part by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Grants R01 CA206187, R01 DK124803, and R01 AR076088. University of California, Davis has a research agreement and revenue sharing agreement with United Imaging Healthcare. No other potential conflicts of interest relevant to this article exist. ## ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS We gratefully acknowledge the technologists and staff, particularly Lynda E. Painting, of the EXPLORER Molecular Imaging Center (EMIC), for their assistance in patient consent and data acquisition. KEY POINTS QUESTION: Compared to standard whole-body 18 F-FDG-PET imaging, is there any benefit from using total-body multiparametric 18 F-FDG PET for studying COVID-19 recovery? PERTINENT FINDINGS: Higher 18 F-FDG net influx and phosphorylation in the lung and higher 18 F-FDG blood-to-tissue delivery in bone marrow were detected in recovering COVID-19 subjects compared to healthy subjects, while no statistical difference was detected using SUV. IMPLICATIONS FOR PATIENT CARE: Total-body multiparametric 18 F-FDG PET may offer a more sensitive tool for quantitative assessment of multi-organ effects in COVID-19 recovery than SUV and may be used to study long COVID-19. ## REFERENCES 1. My primary role is to serve as a chat assistant. <|user|> Skylar went to the store and bought some items for the party he was having. Given the question "How would Sydney feel as a result?", is "bored and angry" a valid answer? Answer: <|assistant|> No, "bored and angry" is not a valid answer to how Sydney would feel as a result of Skylar buying items for his party. The feelings of Sydney are not directly addressed in the given scenario. Skylar's actions do not provide any information about Sydney's emotional state. To accurately answer this question, more context or information about Sydney's feelings or thoughts regarding the party or Skylar's actions would be required.<|endoftext|> Instruction ex sample 2: <|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|> No, "bored and angry" is not a valid answer to how Sydney would feel as a result of Skylar buying items for his party. My primary role is to serve as a chat assistant. <|user|> Describe the process of proton emission and provide an example. <|assistant|> Proton emission is a type of radioactive decay process that occurs in certain atomic nuclei. It is a rare phenomenon, as it typically requires nuclei to be highly unstable due to an excess of protons. The process involves the ejection of a proton from the nucleus, resulting in a daughter nucleus with a lower atomic number and a lower mass number. The process of proton emission can be described in the following steps: **Step 1: Nuclear Instability** - Proton emission occurs when a nucleus is unstable due to an excess of protons or a high proton-to-neutron ratio. This instability can also arise from other factors, such as the presence of too many neutrons or a high overall energy state. **Step 2: Nuclear Structure and Quantum Tunneling** - The proton is bound within the nucleus by the strong nuclear force, which must be overcome for the proton to be emitted. Due to the high potential barrier created by the strong nuclear force, the proton cannot simply escape the nucleus. Instead, the proton must undergo quantum tunneling, a process in which the proton has a non-zero probability of being found outside the nucleus despite its high potential energy within the nucleus. **Step 3: Proton Emission** - A proton is emitted from the nucleus, leaving behind a daughter nucleus with a lower atomic number and a lower mass number. The emitted proton has a characteristic energy distribution, which can be measured experimentally. **Step 4: Daughter Nucleus Decay Chains** - The daughter nucleus may also be unstable and undergo further radioactive decays, leading to a decay chain of nuclei until a stable nucleus is formed. An example of proton emission can be found in the decay of the isotope Calcium-40 (^{40}Ca) to Potassium-39 (^{39}K) with the emission of a proton: ^{40}Ca → ^{39}K + p^+ In this example, Calcium-40 has an atomic number of 20 and a mass number of 40. After emitting a proton, the atomic number decreases by one, resulting in Potassium-39, which has an atomic number of 19 and a mass number of 39. The mass difference between the parent and daughter nuclei is carried away by the emitted proton. It is important to note that proton emission is a rare process, as most unstable nuclei undergo other types of radioactive decays, such as alpha decay or beta decay. Proton emission typically occurs in nuclei with a high proton-to-neutron ratio and a high overall energy state.<|endoftext|> Instruction ex sample 3: <|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|><|MASK|> Proton emission is a type of radioactive decay process that occurs in certain atomic nuclei.
