Azure Advisor is a free offering that helps customers optimize their Azure deployments. Advisor analyzes service configuration and usage telemetry to identify potential issues and offers recommendations. A recommendation is a solution tailored to customer environment and based on best practices of cost effectiveness, performance, reliability, and security of Azure resources. Customers that follow best practices are more likely to avoid incidents and avoid unnecessary costs, which improves their overall satisfaction with Azure. Learn more about Advisor.

If your product/service/feature utilizes other Azure services' SDKs/APIs, make sure it uses the recommended versions.

Complete a self-assessment

• • Create a workitem in your team ADO where you will capture the answers to questions. Your attestation will be rejected without the link to ADO workitem.

• • Answer the questions to evaluate the required work.

1. 1. Review active recommendations using https://aka.ms/stalesdkrec dashboard. You can also find same recommendations in Advisor in the Azure portal.

• • • If your service does not use Azure SDK/API, no additional work is required - attest as N/A.

• • • If there are no active SDK/API recommendation for your service subscriptions, no additional work is required - attest as Complete.

• • • If there are active recommendations, upgrade to the recommended versions prior to launch.

      Upgrade

• • Upgrade your application to use latest API/SDK as recommended.

• • Once upgrade is completed, it will take up to 48 hours for the recommendations to disappear.
