Define a new server and connect to it Open the server configuration, switch to the Teiid Instance tab Change the username and password for JDBC Connection (I'm using a password longer than 4 characters) Verify the username/password by clicking Test JDBC Connection Close JBDS and start it again Notice the masked password is now only 4 characters long Connect to the server and click Test JDBC Connection, this will fail with wrong username/password
