A while ago I renamed my Satellite from sat616-1.example.com to sat-1.example.com following 13.1. Renaming Satellite Server. Afterwards, I figured that the Discovery Image was still using the old FQDN and host provisioning was not possible.

As discussed on Slack I request to add the following information to the documentation:

      • How to backup the files pxelinux.cfg/default and grub2/grub.cfg on Satellite and Capsules before doing "Build PXE Default".
      • Explained that this is set in /var/lib/tftpboot/grub2/grub.cfg and rebuilding the PXE Default in Hosts=>Templates=>Provisioning Templates solves the issue.
      • Keep i mind that this information should be found or referenced in 13.2. Renaming Capsule Server, too.

Adding the missing information to our documentation (or referencing them, if they exist elsewhere) will improve customer experience and avoid potential support cases. Please add this information to all docs of supported Satellite releases.
