Locking issue with aborted parent process instance

When a parent process instance is aborted (sub-process should be marked as independent) and the child later tries to complete, the lock on the parent instance (which cannot be found) is not released. This could lock subsequent threads attempting to create a session for the parent instance (which is already aborted but technically still possible).
