No workaround exists through Business Central, because even if the file is modified through Business Central it will be overwritten again on the first save.

The project can be cloned into a local directory were the file can be modified, but if it imported into Business Central the "kmodule.xml" file will again be overwritten on every save.

      The "master" branch of this project https://gitlab.consulting.redhat.com/erouvas/dmn8890kmodule.git contains a non-empty "kmodule.xml" .

      • Import the project into Business Central,
      • modify a property or an asset, e.g. change the project's description
      • save the changes
      • the "kmodule.xml" has been overwritten

Since the only way to edit DMN diagrams is through the Business Central, this behaviour makes it impossible to specify a DMN Event Listener.

    Description

Using Business Central, saving an asset in a DMN project or modifying and saving project's Settings results in overwriting "kmodule.xml" with a mostly empty one containing only the "kmodule" XML element.

However, in https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_process_automation_manager/7.8/html-single/designing_a_decision_service_using_dmn_models/index#dmn-properties-ref_dmn-models it is stated that to add DMN Event Listeners the "kmodule.xml" file can be modified to point them.
