Project Explorer takes a very long time to load (we have 827 assets in this project).

According to Case xxxxx, Project Explorer was improved in 7.6

The only thing that seems different is that when I expand it, loading is displayed in the Proj Explorer panel. It takes a very long time to load (we have 827 assets in this project). When I select an asset to open, the project explorer closes. When I reopen it, it loads again. This makes it very tedious to use and in my opinion not at all useful. I'd only expect it to reload if an asset is add or deleted.

When does the behavior occur? Frequency? Repeatedly? At certain times?
Every time I use Project Explorer

What information can you provide around timeframes and the business impact?
Project Explorer is still unusable and we have to use Search instead.
