Tested on AWS OSDv4.15 cluster with RHOAI 2.8RC4.
After the upgrade from RHOAI 2.7 to RHOAI 2.8RC4 (RHOAI is a Cloud Service installed as an Addon here), it's not possible to create a pipeline in the data science project anymore. When the yaml is uploaded, nothing happens - no error and pipeline doesn't appear in the pipelines list.
Following error can be seen in the log:
I0318 15:43:43.986810 1 client_manager.go:160] Initializing client manager I0318 15:43:43.987062 1 config.go:80] Config DBConfig.ExtraParams not specified, skipping (/opt/app-root/src/backend/src/apiserver/client_manager.go:465) [2024-03-18 15:43:44] Error 1364: Field 'Description' doesn't have a default value I0318 15:43:44.461909 1 client_manager.go:414] We already own ods-ci-ds-pipelines
Steps to reproduce:
- Create cluster and install RHOAI 2.7 as a Cloud Service
- Perform upgrade of the RHOAI to 2.8
- Create a data science pipeline server
- Upload a pipeline - it doesn't work as described above
From the followup discussion on Slack, it looks like the problem may be in the fact that after upgrade the DSCI has the newly introduced component `trustedCABundle` set managedState to Removed. So to workaround this is to set this component to Managed in DSCI and restart the dashboard pods.
