JQ1.6 is extremely slower than JQ1.5

Description of problem:

jq in RHEL8.6+ is much slow compared to jq1.5

jq 1.6

[root@rhel8client ~]# jq --version
jq-1.6
[root@rhel8client ~]# time for n in

{1..100}; do echo '{"test":0}' | jq . >/dev/null; done
real 0m3.769s
user 0m3.520s
sys 0m0.242s

[root@rhel8client ~]# jq --version
jq-1.5
[root@rhel8client ~]#
[root@rhel8client ~]#
[root@rhel8client ~]#
[root@rhel8client ~]# time for n in {1..100}

; do echo '

{"test":0}

' | jq . >/dev/null; done

real 0m0.353s
user 0m0.255s
sys 0m0.140s

Actual results:

JQ1.6 is much slower than JQ1.5
