What were you trying to do that didn't work?

I run Beaker job that lot of times ended up in a situation where /var is read-only.

      https://beaker.engineering.redhat.com/recipes/20001482#installation

What is the impact of this issue to you?

Testing jobs are are aborted and we cannot reliable test image mode.

Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:

      ostree-2025.6-1.el10.x86_64
For image mode container, we are using latest-10.2 bootc image with our
      additional packages installed.

      How reproducible is this bug?:

Very. In the last batch, about 30% (7 out of 22) of installation had this problem

      Steps to reproduce

      1.  Clone Beaker job for rhel 10.2 in image mode (https://beaker.engineering.redhat.com/jobs/11929329)
      2.  See it fail in ~30% casese

      Expected results

Installation in image mode ending up with /var being writable.

      Actual results

Installation in image mode NOT ending up with /var being writable (/var is not
      mounted).
