      Task Description (Required)

RHOAI / ODH currently do not have explicit, opinionated fields analogous to the owner and lifecycle settings for backstage catalog entities.

While we sort of possible requirement of those fields with RHOAI, for the summit time frame we want to simply have a well understood approach for demo'ers and early consumers to manage the settings of these by the normalizer.

      For lifecycle:

      • perhaps identify a publicized key or label with the value of "development", "test", or "production" to be set on the model registry model version
      • set an env var on the normalizer deployment as a back up of the model version does not have the publicized key or lable

      For owner:

      • similarly a plublicized key or lable to be set on the registered model to corresponds to a RHDH user who an app dev can consider the owner and ask questions about the model in question
      • with again an env var on the normalizer deployment as the back up if the registered model does not have it set

This issue will contain cycles for investigating what/how to incorporate the changes as well as the actual implementation.
