      If you have RDS instances managed by app-interface, please upgrade to the corresponding Graviton instance type.

      If your current DB type is not covered in the upgrade paths have a look at:

      https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-amazon-rds-on-graviton2-processors/  

      And choose the comparable Graviton instance type.

      Warning

      At least two teams have experienced an outage because the pods did not restart the database connections after the upgrade. We highly recommend to run the upgrade when at least one of the engineers of the team is online.
