Description
There is a problem to properly mirror SM Operator.
The main culprit is a tag reference for the proxy-init-rhel7 image
It's put as :
openshift-service-mesh/proxy-init-rhel7:2.0.4 image.
instead of sha checksum
How to reproduce:
Get redhat/redhat-operator-index:v4.8 thenrun "opm index prune" to get just servicemesh and latter "oc adm catalog mirror" with that pruned image to generate a manifest. It will include one image without sha256 but with the tag: registry.redhat.io/openshift-service-mesh/proxy-init-rhel7:2.0.4 .
Later it leds to:
error: unable to retrieve source image
registry.redhat.io/openshift-service-mesh/proxy-init-rhel7
by tag 2.0.4: error parsing HTTP 404 response body: invalid character 'N' looking for beginning of value: "Not found\n" error: an error occurred during planning
The image maintainer is: istio-feedback@redhat.com
but there is no response, so I am opening an issue here.
It looks like OLM can't help much
