Today, only requiredAffinity is considered when autoscaling based on the arch label. We have to find a way to extend that to preferredAffinity and weighted autoscaling.

This includes the investigation about enabling the gRPC expander flag in the cluster autoscaler spec so that a custom gRPC expander(s) can be set.
