kataconfig install does not progress

I created a kataconfig and there is no progress shown in the yaml.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install operator
2. create kataconfig
3. check progress in kataconfig yaml

Expected result

Progress is shown as nodes get installed

No progress is shown in kataconfig yaml
