Jira and GitHub (GH for simplicity) have some differences in functionality, so a mapping of the current Jira issue's details is needed to GH issues.
I would have GH project(s) as Jira dashboard(I created one as an example https://github.com/orgs/jbosstm/projects/3), GH issues as Jira issues(one example https://github.com/jbosstm/lra/issues/72) and GH milestone(s) to track the releases (see https://github.com/jbosstm/lra/milestone/1).
We will keep using JBTM for tracking issues affecting products (Quarkus/WildFly).
